The primary bathroom was an afterthought in the original floor plan — a narrow four-piece with a dropped ceiling and a curtained tub. The owners wanted a proper suite: double vanity, a generous walk-in shower, and materials that would still feel right in twenty years.
We stripped the space to studs, widened the shower wall into an underused closet on the opposite side, and re-framed the plumbing wall to carry a brass fixture package. Waterproofing was Schluter Kerdi on every wet surface, with a pre-slope under the pan for clean drainage.
Finishes were chosen to hold their tone — honed marble, polished brass, and rift-sawn white oak on the vanity. The sconces were sourced locally, restored, and rewired. The room is lit to read as warm in the evening and crisp in the morning.
